Travel To Dive is an independent dive-travel site. We help divers choose the right trip before they book: where to go, when to go, what you will realistically see, and who each place suits.
Manie Eksteen, our founder, is a PADI Staff Instructor with 10,000+ hours underwater. When a line on a page is his, it is set apart and signed with his name.
After more than a decade as a PADI Staff Instructor and over 10,000 hours underwater, from heavy surf launches in South Africa to remote liveaboards across Indonesia, Mozambique, Egypt and the Caribbean, I've seen how often divers book trips based on hype rather than fit.

Travel To Dive exists to fix that. It is not a travel agency. It is a research site that compares destinations, seasons and boats, so you can choose with clarity.
What we cover
We focus on liveaboard destinations around the world, and on the skills behind a good dive trip:
- Destinations, seasons and routes, month by month
- Liveaboard comparisons, so you can weigh the trade-offs before you book
- Practical guides on planning, equipment and safety
- Short Academy lessons that add to your training and never replace it
We say who each place suits and who it does not. A destination that is wrong for you is worth knowing about before you pay for it.
How our pages are made
Travel To Dive is written by our team, which uses AI tools to research and draft pages from our own season, boat and safety data. We start from primary sources, such as park authorities, DAN and PADI standards.
Before a page goes live, a separate review checks its facts, safety advice and sources. A lesson has to pass that review twice.
AI does not write Manie's words for him. A signed line is something he published or recorded. We say "reviewed by Manie" only when he has read the page.

Write to info@traveltodive.com. We check every report against our sources and fix confirmed errors within 24 hours, and the page's updated date changes. Report an error.
